hardware and software auditing with systemhound

If a user of certain computer installed a modem will system hound report it immediately to main controller?  Will it be immediately known to administrator?

It will be detected at the next inventory scan, and will be logged in the hardware change report under Miscellaneous Items, which is easily accessible from the main hardware report.
