My issue is an odd one. I'm setting up a new machine for Systemhound 3.1.0.3 R. I have a set of clients that, as far as I know, reported just fine to the old server. The new server has the same name as the old server. Each of this group of clients has identical hardware, and an identical base software image. The problem I'm having is that I have a maximum of one client from this group of 6 at any time. An example is that computer2 is currently listed in the audit, but when ever about computer reports in (let say computer6) with it's audit, it will complete replace computer2. So now all the software that computer2 reported is not on the list in the maintenance utility, nor is computer2 in the machine maintenance list. Now all I see is the software for computer6. This happens a few times a day as all six computers report in.

I also have two other groups of computers with identical hardware (to each other), and base software image that do not suffer this problem.

I've tried to usually steps of uninstalling and reinstalling the systemhound software, but I haven't had any luck with getting it to work.

Are there any tips, or any pointers on what I should look for?

Well I figured it out. A kind person in support told me that Systemhound uses it's own unique ID code. It's in the registry.

The simplest way to fix it is to uninstall the product, and remove the whole key. I did this with a reg file, or you can do it manually.

Just copy this to a text file and save it as something.reg and it will remove the key. Then reinstall the product and your back in busniess.
