I sent an email to support but never heard back regarding my questions, so I'll just post them here. Mainly about reporting functions...

1. Is there any way of running a daily report of what has changed in the environment, hardware and software? (I know you can print off a weekly report but how about daily?)

2. Is there a report that can be run for license true-up? For instance, we would like to see how many copies we have of products installed on the network, and then show the value of what we actually own (granted we would have to enter that in ourselves)

3. Is there a way of finding out what clients on the network that do not have systemhound client installed?

4. What is the database format? I know you said html and javascript, but could you explain it more.  I've been told it has to be more than that, possibly XML?

Thanks for your time

Hi, unfortunately we have not received your email.

1. There isn't a specific daily report but for example, within the weekly software changes, it actually breaks it down by day.

2. If you click on Show licensing information and Show licensed only from the options on the software report, you'll be able to see a report for licensed vs installed copies. You enter the licenses owned through the Website Maintenance utility in Start/Programs/systemhound/Tools/

3. You can select clients to the right-hand column in the Install Wizard, either using an Add Level (for the domain) or using an IP Scan. Once they've been selected, if they have a green icon this means they already have a client installed. If they have a blue icon, this means there is no client  installed. Hovering your mouse over the icon wil give you an infobox.

4. Its HTML/JavaScript. You can have the data in csv/mdb formats by using the Export Tool.
