The software changes on my reports are showing apps that it says have been uninstalled even though there have been no changes. This happens for a number of machines and for a huge range of apps - Microsoft Word, Windows Hotfixes, EZ CD creator - the list goes on and on - not just one app or manufacturer. Anyone have any ideas as it makes the change reports completly useless.

is it the same software that shows as uninstalled, per machine?

Click on one of the machines that are showing these changes, and open its hardware change report. Do you see any indication that this machine has changed its Asset ID for example?

There are no hardware changes reported - nor should there have been any changes. A lot of the applications are similar on the machines but only because we have a fairly standard build - however some apps are unique to a particular machine but these will sometimes appear as well. However if an app shows as uninstalled one day it shows as newly installed the next.

are you sure there's no hardware changes reported? Look in the machine's individual hardware change report, not the global hardware change report.

Did you install your clients by ghosting an image?

I've looked in the individual report - no changes. The clients are installed from the Systemhound Install wizard.

Can you send the hwinfo.log file from Program Files\systemhound\logs\ from one of the problem client machines, to support @ systemhound.com, together with the url to this thread.

Thanks
