I am evaluating systemhound for purchase.  I love the way it works with NT/2000/XP, but I do have some Win95/98/Me machines in my network.  I followed the instructions to create the stand alone client disk, but when I run the batch file it fails to load the dll.  I suspect it is because of an extra "\" in the command line.  See error message text below.  Is there a solution to fix this?

LanMan,
could you try the following please.

1. On the same floppy disk, create a new folder called SH.

2. Move ShsAudit.exe, RunMe.bat and the Plugins directory into the new folder.

3. Edit RunMe.bat so that it reads as follows:

Code:

set SH_STANDALONE_PATH=a:\SH
.\shsaudit.exe

4. Open a DOS window.

5. Run cd to the SH directory and run RunMe.bat again.

Adding the A:\SH directory worked fine.

I am now able to use the disk to run a stand alone audit.

Thanks for the help.  This is the easiest auditing software I have ever evaluated.  I KNOW I'm going to place a purchase request with my management!
