Hi,

I am having a problem with a large proportion of machines on our site not sending info back to our systemhound server. My machine is one of them (Windows 2000 SP4 and most of the others are Win2k with SP3), so I have been experimenting.

I have tried reinstalling systemhound with and without removing the registry key it creates and have had no success. My machine was not installed from an image, so duplicate machine IDs should not be a problem with it. What I have noticed is some apparently missing registry entries - I do not have either machine_id1 or machine_id2 entries. All other entries look fine (apart from 'last_entry' which is blank). Is the client not installing properly?

I have also noticed the same missing registry entries with some other PCs that I've checked that also do not communicate with our systemhound server.

Can anyone suggest a cause and remedy for this?

Looks like I've solved my own problem: The collector service on the server had stopped... D'oh!  Embarrassed
